In this insightful and illuminating session, Lenn Millbower, BM, MA—a 25-year Walt Disney World Operations, Entertainment, and Training veteran—pulls back the curtain on Walt’s science and sense approach. He will share what Disney does to make their theme parks so organized, so immersive, and so memorable. At each step in the process, you will learn how to apply Walt Disney’s theme park methodology to your needs. Let’s meet like a mouse so you can deliver your own magical results.

Walt Disney liked to proclaim, “It all started with a mouse.” Although it is true that Mickey Mouse was Disney’s breakthrough product, ‘it’ did not start with that mouse. It started with the people who made the mouse. In this Disney inspired session, Lenn Millbower, a 25 year Walt Disney World training leader and the author of the book Care Like a Mouse (Theme Park Press, January 2018), pulls back the curtain and reveals the secret to Disney’s success. It was human capital developed, focused and engaged to deliver magical customer experiences. Along the way, you will discover the leadership approaches Disney tried and abandoned. You will explore the resulting ‘castomer™’ focused culture that made Walt Disney World such an amazing customer service provider. Disney’s magic isn’t the result of pixie-dust. It’s the result of people-trust. Attend this session and learn to engage your castomers™ so they can amaze your customers.

 Speakers

Audrey Thomas, CSP, has been entertaining and teaching audiences for over 20 years. As an author, speaker and productivity consultant, she presents for corporations, non-profits, conferences and conventions. 

Audrey has authored several books, including 50 Ways to Leave Your Clutter, and The Road Called Chaos. Her client roster includes The Boeing Company, 3M, Pepsi, PricewaterhouseCoopers, FICP (Financial and Insurance Conference Planners), ING, and Meeting Planners International.
Audrey writes for several organizations, including The Business Journal and UnitedHealthcare. Her bi-monthly newsletter - My Monday Moment – is designed for busy professionals.
Serving the National Speakers Association-Minnesota as Past President, she is the recipient of the Certified Speaking Professional designation. The CSP is the speaking profession’s international measure of professional platform competence. Less than 12% of all speakers are awarded this credential.
Audrey lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and loves being an empty nester. She enjoys gardening, target shooting and deleting emails.
